Real Karate for Good People
Good Fight is a modern nogi martial arts studio in Valencia, rooted in karate and built for people who want training that feels real, useful, and alive.
Our classes are not taught in stiff formal lines. Students move, work with partners, ask questions, and test techniques through distance, timing, balance, contact, falling, clinch work, takedowns, ground survival, and practical self-defense.
Karate is our foundation, but not a script to copy. We draw from Shotokan, Machida Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, and modern self-defense so each student can build a practice that fits their body, their life, and their own way of moving.
This is karate as a personal practice: clear coaching, real partners, controlled pressure, and room to find your own karate.
Classes are mainly taught in English, but everyone is welcome.
We take the training seriously. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Made for People Like You
training that actually works
You want training that feels useful, honest, and alive.
You want to move with balance, timing, distance, and control.
You want techniques you can test, adapt, and make your own.
You want striking, footwork, partner work, takedowns, and self-defense to connect.
A real community
You want partners who help you learn, not prove a point.
You want clear coaching, honest feedback, and real encouragement.
You want to be challenged without being yelled at.
You want a room where effort, patience, courage, and kindness live together.
Kids growing STRONGer
You want your child to grow in confidence, discipline, and self-control.
You want them to stand their ground, use their voice, and ask for help.
You want real self-protection taught with care.
You want strength and kindness growing together.
“Our son is still talking about, and showing us, what he learned today. He also asked if he could go every day — so grateful to have found you!”

Please Don’t Call Me sensei
I care more about clarity, competence, and care than titles or hierarchy. My job is to show up prepared, keep people safe, and help each student move forward with confidence.
My background is in modern Shotokan karate, where I spent years studying movement, structure, timing, and practical application under Sensei Rick Hotton. Over time, that training expanded through Machida Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Aikido — all of which shaped the way Good Fight trains.
I don’t teach karate as something to copy perfectly. I teach it as a personal practice. You will learn tools, principles, and structure, then explore them through movement, partner work, resistance, and controlled pressure until they become your own.
If you’re willing to train with intention, ask questions, and take responsibility for your progress, you’re in the right place.
